Tolga was born, and lived in Istanbul, Turkey where he attended the French high school “Lycee Francais Pierre Loti” until 1998, when he moved to the United States to study Architecture at the University of Virginia. He finished his undergraduate studies in 2002, earning a B.S in Architecture. Tolga then moved to Los Angeles, California where he attended the Masters program at the UCLA Architecture Department. During this period, his academic works have been exhibited and published at multiple occasions in the US, Italy and Mexico.

In parallel to his professional work,Tolga continues to work on research oriented projects, merging the realities of building constraints with the utopian ideals of architecture. In his professional work, Tolga seeks to achieve unique projects that are a combination of the clients’ particular needs, a rigorous analysis of the specific circumstances and architectural / spatial ideals set forth by his research.
